9:15 a.m.
School groups arrive at the park, group leader checks-in and pays in gift shop
(you must know number of teachers, parents, and students) while other adults
unload the bus and line-up students in 1-3 groups with assigned chaperones;
each group should have 20-30 people total. Use restrooms during this time, if
necessary.
9:30 a.m.
Park staff greets groups, discusses rules and activities, answers questions,
and directs groups to their first programs.
9:45-10:30
Group 1 in program in classroom (i.e. Herps Alive)
Group 2 in program in lab (i.e. From Worms to Wings)
Group 3 in program outside (i.e. Swamp Safari)
Park staff switches groups at restrooms behind gift shop
10:30-11:15
Group 1 in program outside (i.e. Swamp Safari)
Group 2 in program in classroom (i.e. Herps Alive)
Group 3 in program in lab (i.e. From Worms to Wings)

Groups eat picnic lunch in shelters by play area
12:30-1:30 p.m.
Groups tour the animal exhibit buildings that they didn’t see during their
programs (i.e. Aquarium, Reptile Center, and Crocodile Isle) while 10 students
at a time visit the gift shop.
1:30 p.m.
Groups depart park for bus trip back to school
This is just a sample to help you with your planning. You are welcome to stay
longer on the park to walk the trails, etc..., we are open until 5 p.m.
