Heritage Room (New Exhibit Open Now!):

The newest addition to the park, the Heritage Room. Exhibits include historical and interpretive displays, including archaeological artifacts found on site during recent excavations. Enjoy learning about the story of Cypress Gardens from its start as a major rice plantation to its transformation into a beautiful swamp garden.

 

 

Safari Day (Saturday, August 21):

Come celebrate swamp life at Cypress Gardens. Explore the swamp with Lowcountry naturalist Billy McCord as he leads a nature walk and reserve your spot on a guided boat tour. Enjoy reptile, swamp-dipping, butterfly, worm composting, children's crafts, animal exhibits and live music.

Schedule:

10:00 am   Swamp Safari begins
10:30 am   Swamp Dip Netting, meet at Nature Center.
11:00 am   Nature walk with Naturalist Billy McCord.
11:30 am   Reptiles Alive, meet at Nature Center.
12:30 pm   Butterfly Talk and Tour of Butterfly House, meet at Nature Center.
1:00 pm    Alligator Feeding, beside the Swamparium.
1:30 pm    Swamp Dip Netting, meet at Nature Center.
2:00 pm   Guided swamp boat ride with naturalist Billy McCord. Limited seating. $5 per person, purchase tickets in Visitor's Center.

2:30 pm   Reptiles Alive Program. Nature Center.

3:30 pm   Alligator Feeding, beside the Swamparium.
4:00 pm   Festival ends.

Halloween in the Swamp (Friday & Saturday, October 22,23)

General admission, $5 per person. A family fun event complete with lighted pumpkin trail, kids game room, marshmallow roast and storyteller. 7:30 pm - 10: 30 pm.

The Haunted Swamp Experience: $15. 7:30 pm - 10: 30 pm. (Includes general admission.) Advance tickets sales online (date to be announced closer to event date.) Embark on a scary boat adventure as one of our guides rows you through our “haunted” swamp. Disembark the boat and walk back on a dark haunted trail complete with scary sights and eerie sounds! Afterwards, enjoy a fall evening campfire, complete with food, fun and a s’more roast!

Santa in the Swamp (Saturday, December 18)

Santa will arrive by swamp boat... A memorable sight that can only be seen here in South Carolina’s Lowcountry!  Santa will take photos with guests, and even pets.  Don’t miss local vendors selling unique items and handmade crafts, perfect for Christmas gift giving.  Start a new Christmas tradition this year at Cypress Gardens’ Santa in the Swamp.
